Bitcoin Asia 2026 has released its full two-day agenda and added Binance founder CZ to the speaker lineup for the August 27–28 conference in Hong Kong.

Bitcoin Asia 2026 has published its complete two-day agenda and confirmed Changpeng Zhao, the Binance founder better known as CZ, as its latest headline speaker, organizers announced on August 3.

The conference, billed as the largest Bitcoin event in Asia, returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 27 and 28. It is organized by BTC Inc., the Bitcoin Magazine parent that became a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Nakamoto Inc. following a February 2026 acquisition, and is presented by Metaplanet.

What the agenda covers

The schedule, now published at asia.b.tc/agenda, splits across main stage keynotes and panels plus a set of dedicated tracks: the Bitcoin for Corporations Symposium, Deal Day, the Deal Flow Zone, and the Open Source Hub. Attendees can build a session-by-session plan ahead of the event rather than waiting for a program on arrival — a small logistical detail that matters at a conference running parallel tracks across two days.

Session themes cluster around four areas: macro and monetary policy, corporate treasury strategy, Bitcoin infrastructure, and the regulatory picture across Asian jurisdictions. The corporate treasury emphasis is unsurprising given the Metaplanet sponsorship; the Tokyo-listed company has become the most-watched Asian test case for a bitcoin-denominated balance sheet.

CZ’s role

Zhao founded Binance and stepped back from its leadership in 2023. His recent public work has centered on Giggle Academy, the free education venture he launched afterward, along with advisory work on regulation and tokenization for governments. Organizers framed his participation around education and mentorship in the Bitcoin ecosystem rather than exchange operations.

His addition gives the conference a name recognizable well beyond the Bitcoin-only audience — and one that carries the regulatory history that comes with it. How directly that gets addressed on stage will be worth watching, particularly in a program that lists Asian regulation as a core theme.

East–West framing

BTC Inc. CEO Brandon Green tied the lineup to the conference’s stated purpose of connecting the two hemispheres of the Bitcoin world, arguing that discussion of Bitcoin adoption ”too often” skews toward the West while the Asian market remains crucial to its growth. He named CZ alongside Simon and Balaji as leaders drawing both communities together.

That positioning is more than marketing. Hong Kong’s spot ETF regime, Japan’s evolving tax treatment of digital assets, and Metaplanet’s treasury accumulation have shifted a meaningful share of institutional bitcoin activity eastward over the past two years, while the loudest narrative-setting has stayed concentrated in US media and US-listed companies. A Hong Kong conference with a Nasdaq-listed organizer and a Tokyo-listed presenting sponsor is a fairly literal expression of that gap closing.
