Omantel unveiled its new entity, Otech, the “Provider of Technologies of the Future and Enabler of Digital Transformation.” Otech consolidates Oman’s technology investments, strengthens digital sovereignty, and lays the foundation for innovation, competitiveness, and economic diversification.
By integrating companies like Oman Data Park and Tadoom, Otech operates national data centers including the new “Farq” Data Center and offers a comprehensive cloud ecosystem, supporting secure, scalable, and certified digital solutions for public and private institutions. Its services span cloud computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and systems integration, enabling Oman to meet both current and future technological needs.
Otech collaborates with global technology leaders such as Oracle, PwC, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services, while also fostering local startups like Orki, Decoil, and Remedy. This approach empowers Omani talent through specialized training and career pathways, ensuring the national workforce is prepared to lead digital transformation initiatives.
The launch reflects Omantel’s strategic evolution from a telecom operator to a fully integrated technology provider. Otech strengthens Oman’s digital sovereignty by localizing critical data and adhering to international standards, positioning the Sultanate as a regional hub for innovation, digital services, and knowledge-based economy development in line with Oman Vision 2040.
