Devcon 8 is officially coming to Mumbai, India. From November 3 to 6, 2026, the JIO World Center will host the Ethereum ecosystem’s most important community event, bringing together builders and thinkers from around the world at a moment when India plays a central role in the future of Web3 🇮🇳.
Devcon is the flagship conference organized by the Ethereum Foundation in close collaboration with the global community. It is not a typical industry expo, but a space where developers, researchers, designers, community organizers, and users come together to build, discuss, and advance decentralized systems. Each edition reflects the state of Ethereum itself: open, technically ambitious, and driven by people who are actively shaping the ecosystem.
The location of Devcon rotates globally, intentionally focusing on regions where Ethereum already has tangible impact. India stands out as one of those regions today. With more than 17 million developers active on GitHub, India has become the largest source of new crypto developers since 2023. For the second year in a row, the country ranks number one in global crypto adoption, while local Ethereum activity continues to expand across universities, meetups, hackathons, and grassroots communities. Initiatives such as ETHMumbai, Devfolio, and Polygon Labs have played a key role in building a strong and sustainable ecosystem over the years.
Devcon 8 in Mumbai will offer four days of programming in a single venue, featuring multiple stages, deeply technical sessions, and accessible content for newcomers. Community Hubs and Supporter Spaces will once again form the social core of the event, creating room for collaboration, discussion, and spontaneous ideas. As always, the unique Devcon atmosphere will be shaped by the community itself rather than by corporate showcases.
