The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) have joined forces to develop a global framework for tokenizing commodities like gold and diamonds. The goal is a secure, transparent, and scalable system that bridges traditional markets with blockchain-powered financial infrastructure.

Pilot projects will test technical, regulatory, and market feasibility, while workshops and awareness campaigns will educate investors and institutions about the benefits and risks of tokenization.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem of DMCC highlights the partnership’s impact: combining commodities expertise, 26,000 members, and regulatory oversight to create trusted, investable tokenization solutions. VARA CEO Matthew White adds that this initiative strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for tokenization and innovation.

With a 38% increase in Web3 companies at DMCC’s Crypto Centre, Dubai continues to attract digital asset ventures, and this partnership ensures that innovation is matched by regulatory security and investor protection.
